THOUGHT for TUESDAY

This one's for Jami & Bill:

Genealogists never die.....

...they just lose their census.

Clues-Hints & Frustrations

Where did they come from, where did they go,
How many were there, you'd like to know.

Grandmas & Grandpas, your searching did find,
Try arranging them carefully, in genealogical line.

The novice you are, over the web you do roam,
Hunting for surnames, wearing fingers to the bone.

You scan Rootsweb, Yahoo, Cyndi's List & Excite,
Your computer is sizzling, byte after byte.

Hour after hour, your eagerly seek,
Your very first surname, it took just "one" week.

On to the library, to check all the books,
You find trappers & farmers & even some crooks.

So day after day, you search and you fret,
You'll never be done, until the sun is set.

I have been meaning to ask if you got my email about making the links in the posts. I wasn't sure if I sent it correctly.

Susan,

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

I can identify with this poem because I LOVE genealogy and hunting for the next clue :o)

Blessings!
