WREATHS AREN'T JUST FOR CHRISTMAS TIME!

Isn't this a beautiful sight?

This delightful circle was taken at Lamington National Park ,
west of the Gold Coast.

They are native Australian mountain parrots; the red and blue kind are Crimson Rosella, and the red and green are King Parrots.

They are feasting on sunflower seeds which were left for them, but did not expect them to form such a perfect ring.

The little guy on the bottom right is about to jump into the center, much to the discontent of the other birds.

SCRIPTURE FOR SUNDAY

For the law was given through Moses;
grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

JUST FOR 'FUN'

Since Sunday's verse & saying had to do with laughter, I thought you might enjoy these.....

SCRIPTURE FOR SUNDAY

Laughter is the brush that
sweeps away the cobwebs of the heart.

A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.

FAITHFUL

...we're called to be faithful."

THE SWING

THE SWING
Robert Louis Stevenson - 1850-1894

How do you like to go up in a swing?
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!

Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside--

Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown--
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!

'Girl on a Swing'
--Winslow Homer

Do you (or did you ever) like to swing? While I was at my mother's last week, it was fun to watch my little niece and nephew swinging on their swing set next door. Chase, who just had his first birthday, could spend the whole day in his swing, if they would let him...as long as someone gives him a push and keeps it going, that is.
When I was a child, there was a tire swing where we used to go swimming, and how exciting it was to swing out over the water, then let go and land with a big splash!
After we had our mountain home built, we made sure that both porches (front and back) each had a swing. They're alot more tame than a tire swing, but enjoyable, never the less!

HE IS RISEN, INDEED!

...but when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
"Don't be alarmed," he said, "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.
But go, tell His disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him, just as He told you.' "
--Mark 16:4-7

THIS IS MY FATHER'S WORLD

Today, I am reflecting on the wonders of God's creation, like the beautiful rainbow He paints across the sky. ...

A meteor shower...

The splendor of autumn...

The beauty of a morning glory...

The glorious sight and sounds of a waterfall...

A tender moment of a mother and her young...

The food He provides for His little creatures...

The oceans, trees and sky...

I will be away again this week, spending time in Florida with my mother, who fell and broke her arm just after my visit the week before. She broke the other arm last year, but is having much more pain with this break, and cannot support her weight to get up and down. Your prayers would be much appreciated!
