Chinese Chicken Salad
1# grilled Chicken Breast strips
1 pkg. Angel Hair Slaw mix
1 pkg. Ramen noodles
3 oz. pkg. Sliced Almonds

*Crush uncooked ramen noodles.
*Toast in oven along with the sliced almonds
until light brown. Set aside to cool.
*Combine grilled chicken breast strips & coleslaw.

Oil & Vinegar Dressing
1/3 to 1/2 c. Sugar
1/3 to 1/2 c. Cooking oil
1 1/2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar

*Mix dressing & shake in a shaker bottle.
*Pour onto salad just before serving.
*Sprinkle toasted noodle/almond mixture on top.

I doubled the recipe to serve 6.

FAMILY FUN

My grandson, Justin, had such a good time feeding peanuts to the chipmunks that come in on our back porch. Here are a few of the pics.....

CLEVER ADVERTISING

Square Watermelons.
A round watermelon can take up alot of room in the frig., and they sit awkwardly on the refrigerator shelves.
Smart Japanese farmers have forced their watermelons to grow into a square shape by inserting the melons into square, tempered glass cases while the fruit is still growing on the vine.

We have the Japanese to thank for this clever 'cone', as well...

And how about the placement of this sign?

Clever advertising, but the distraction would probably cause alot of wrecks!

Smokers, that stuff you're breathing in is worse than what's coming out of this exhaust!

Our daughter, son-in-law & grandson are here from Florida, for a few days. We've planned a cookout for Saturday, with some friends joining us. If it's cool enough, we'll eat out on the back porch. I love cookouts, don't you?

ANYONE AT HOME?

We love to sit out on our front porch in the mornings and listen to the chorus of the many types of birds around our house. It's taken a long time to identify some of them, but we're getting better each year.

You may have been wondering that about my blog lately, because other things have taken priority.
