FORGETTER BE FORGOTTEN

My forgetter's getting better,
But my rememberer is broke
To you this may seem funny
But, to me, it is no joke..

For when I'm 'here' I'm wondering
If I really should be 'there'
And, when I try to think it through,
I haven't got a prayer!

Oft times I walk into a room,
Say 'what am I here for?'
I wrack my brain, but all in vain!
A zero, is my score.

At times I put something away
Where it is safe, but, gee!
The person it is safest from
Is, generally, me!

When shopping I may see someone,
Say 'Hi' and have a chat,
Then, when the person walks away
I'm thinking, 'who was that?'

Yes, my forgetter's getting better
While my rememberer's broke,
And it's driving me plumb crazy
And that just ain't no joke.

CAN YOU RELATE???

Please tell me you do......

because I can't remember

CHASE & CAYLIE

Here are a few pictures I took of my grand nephew & niece, while in Florida last week.
Chase will be 16 months old on July 4th, & Caylie just turned 4 last month.
Aren't they adorable?
The first thing Chase heads straight for whenever he's at my mother's house is this white tiger she keeps on her bookshelf. He carries it around until he's ready to go home, and then puts it back in it's place on the shelf.

This is my little buddy, Caylie. She's a sweetheart! She loves to sing and dance, and often makes up her own songs.

BLOGGY BREAK

We're off to Florida for a few days.

Have a wonderful week!

FLAG DAY...JUNE 14th

I watched the flag pass by one day,
It fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine saluted it,
and then he stood at ease..

I looked at him in uniform
so young, so tall, so proud,
with hair cut square and eyes alert,
he'd stand out in any crowd.

I thought how many men like him
had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil?
How many mothers' tears?

How many pilots' planes shot down?
How many died at sea?
How many foxholes were soldier’s graves?
No, freedom isn't free.

I heard the sound of taps one night,
When everything was still,
I listened to the bugler play
and felt a sudden chill.

I wondered just how many times
that taps had meant 'Amen,'
When a flag had draped a coffin
of a brother or a friend.

I thought of all the children,
of the mothers and the wives,
of fathers, sons and husbands
with interrupted lives.

I thought about a graveyard
at the bottom of the sea...
Of unmarked graves in Arlington.
No, freedom isn't free.

When You read this,
please stop for a moment
and say a Prayer

Of all the gifts you could give

Prayer

TIP FOR TUESDAY

Here's a neat Good Housekeeping tip
(compliments of Maxine)......

Always keep several get well cards
on the mantle...
so if unexpected guests arrive,
they will think you've been sick
and unable to clean!

I'm on my way to the dollar store.

OPTICAL ILLUSIONS

In the image below, a white equilateral triangle is perceived,
but in fact none is drawn.
On the grid below, do you see grey areas
between the squares?
Look directly at an intersection and they disappear.

Is this book open or closed?
Now, take your time and look at the one below.
It's amazing!

Follow the following instructions:
1. Relax and concentrate on the four small dots in the
middle of the picture in about 30 – 40 secs.
2. Then take a look at any smooth single coloured surface
(probably a wall) near you.
3. You will see a circle of light developing.
Start blinking your eyes a couple of times and
you will see an image emerging!!!
WHAT DO YOU SEE??? MOREOVER, WHO DO YOU SEE???
